Redmi Note 9: Buyer’s Guide.
Battery
The 5020 mAh battery is great, the same as the Redmi Note 9s. Expect the phone to last you a day and a half, This is pretty awesome. It has a fast-charging of 18W. Charging speed is rather slow. 30% in 30 min. With its 9W reverse charging, you can use the Redmi Note 9 as a Power Bank.
Cameras
Xiaomi Note 9 has a 48MP Quad Camera. 48MP Main + 8MP Ultrawide + 2MP Depth + Macro. Shots taken from the main camera are decent. So long as the lighting is good, you’ll get the kind of crisp, well-balanced shots. There is a bit of overexposure but the phone handled high dynamic range scenarios admirably well for its price.
That said, the Redmi Note 9 doesn’t handle very low-light or night-time scenarios well, which is where its budget nature truly betrays itself. There’s a dedicated Night mode here, which will brighten such shots significantly, but it produces shots that are full of grainy artifacts and therefore distracting.
Design and Build
The phone has a similar design to the other Redmi note 9 series, Note 9s, and Note 9 Pro. Though it does look as premium as the two. It has a shiny plastic back as opposed to the other Note 9 series which have Gorilla Glass 5 in the front and back.
One might consider this a downgrade since Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 has a glass back. Overall the phone looks way better compared to other phones in its price range.
Performance.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 comes with MediaTek Helio G85 running on a 3Gb or 4GB Ram. Expect Redmi Note 9 to handle your day to day task and multitasking with ease.
As far as gaming is concerned, Redmi Note 9 isn’t the best there is in this category. When in Balance and Medium Graphics, you will play almost every game. When Gaming in HD and High Graphics for Heavy-duty Games expect lags once in a while. The overall performance isn’t that solid by competition standard.
If you love the Redmi Note series but Note 9 doesn’t quite give you what you want then you have other Redmi Note 9 series that offer better specs and performance. Checkout Redmi Note 9s and Redmi Note 9 Pro
