Samsung Note 10 Plus Features Review
The Build
The Galaxy Note 10 plus build is a pioneer in the phone flagship race. The full-screen display runs all the way to the corners and edges. Samsung phones have always maintained good build quality over the years, and Note 10 plus takes it to the next level.
The phone comes with an IP68 dust/water resistance that is up to 1.5m for 30 mins. Galaxy Note 10 plus has Gorilla Glass 6 at the front and back. On the side, you get an aluminum frame. As usual Samsung Note series comes with a Stylus, with 42m latency.
As opposed to Samsung Note 9 and Note 8, The fingerprint reader has moved below the phone. With a 196g, the phone weighs relatively lighter considering the big size and display.
The only drawback is the lack of a headphone jack. Though in 2021, this might not be an issue since there is an increase in the uptake of wireless earphone buds. Still, we love both options when available.
The Display
Samsung Galaxy Note 10 screen is a 6.8 inches Dynamic AMOLED, HDR10+ display corner to corner. That is a big screen for media consumption. One of the best things about this phone, it has a very high resolution at 1440 x 3040 pixels, 19:9 ratio. That is a 2k display. You also have the option to switch between HD+ 1520×720 and FHD+ 2280×1080 resolutions.
The display is a ~498 PPI density, this means the display is crispy clear. The brightness is adaptive to your environment. This means when outside you can still use it. The only drawback to this phone is the 60Hz refresh rate. it falls behind. The transitions when using this will not be as great compared to today’s flagships and certain mid-range phones.
Performance.
When it comes to handling your daily task. You can’t go wrong with the Samsung Galaxy Note plus. Thanks to the phone’s superior processor chipsets. The phone supports two different chipsets based on your region:
- Qualcomm SM8150 Snapdragon 855 (7 nm) – USA/China.
- Exynos 9825 (7 nm) – EMEA/LATAM
With a memory of 12GB Ram, this phone is extremely fast and powerful for gaming and streaming. The Note 10 Plus runs on Android 9.0 (Pie), upgradable to Android 11, One UI 3.1.
The Cameras.
It is no secret that Samsung phones have one of the best cameras in the industry. Samsung Note 10 plus has triple cameras at the back and a rear camera.
Samsung threw everything and the kitchen sink into the Galaxy Note 10 Plus camera hardware. It has a familiar spec sheet, practically mimicking that of the Galaxy S10 Plus in terms of components. The new tool is the depth camera, which adds, uh, an extra dimension to what the Note 10 Plus can do with portraiture. We’re pleased to see 60fps shooting in 4K, as well as the newer tool of live bokeh in the video.
