Fun-sized but robust design

The Asus VivoBook W202NA is so little at 11.6 x 7.9 x 0.89 inches and 2.6 pounds that it nearly resembles a toy. It has a navy-blue textured plastic exterior, and matching rubber is used to protect the edges. The lid is thin and simple to open, and the silver Asus logo in the middle gives it a classy appearance.

Display

The HD 1366 x 768 anti-glare display that Asus provided for the 11.6-inch VivoBook was useful when utilized in bright sunshine. I was happy to see the clear details in the action sequences when I viewed the Justice League trailer on this panel. Although the colors weren’t as vivid as I’d like, it was still viewable.

Solid performance

The Asus VivoBook W202NA is powerful for its size thanks to its Intel Celeron N3350 processor, 4GB of RAM, 64GB eMMC hard drive, and integrated Intel HD 500 graphics card. Large-scale multimedia projects and games are not possible on this laptop, but web browsing, office programs, and light photo editing are not an issue.

Keyboard and touchpad

The typing experience on the Asus VivoBook was superb. Despite having long fingernails, I was able to type comfortably thanks to the keyboard’s adequate 1.42 millimeters of key travel (1.5 to 2 mm is common). I nearly reached my normal typing speed of 58 words per minute on the Key Hero typing test. The VivoBook’s keyboard doesn’t have backlighting, which would be useful in low light, but its spill resistance makes up for it.

Audio

The sound system on the Asus VivoBook W202NA is nice. Professional-grade ICEpower technology is used by the dual speakers on either side to amplify sound, which reproduces accurate music for such a small gadget. My ears had no trouble distinguishing each piano chord and sung note in Taeyang’s “Darling.” Additionally, the audio was loud enough to fill a small- to medium-sized conference room.
